Well, I don't like to rush things. I like to work at my own pace. Yes, I'm a late Bloomer but that's OK, atleast I'm happy I never compromised on my principles or persona to rush into things and achieve everything in a fixed time line. Infact, I never conform to the rules and I do things which are not expected from me. At one stage of my life, I was quite apprehensive of cooking and driving, but I'm glad my hubby and Inlaws never forced me into anything, and gave me time to bloom and evolve at my own pace. Today, I live abroad and manage my 3 kids and family on my own, I cook and drive well too, much to surprise of my hubby n parents. I believe one should not get bogged down by societal pressures and do things against one's nature and capability. It's ok to be a late Bloomer coz I believe slow and steady eventually wins the race! I for one never did things as per the expectations of people, I married early, had kids early and moved to abroad, even though I was quite young and didn't know how to cook well and manage my family and house tasks alone. But, as they say time and adversity teaches you everything, so I slowly and steadily learnt up everything. I thought I have done so much studies, so now learning some dishes and house tasks is not a rocket science and I can learn n manage, n so in time I did. I'm not where I want to be, but still I'm not where I used to be, I'm on my own my way and look forward to happy and productive times ahead. There's a lot to learn and unlearn in life, so I take everything as a challenge and try to do my best as I believe 'Do your best, n let God do the rest.' So, I suggest everyone, specially all those ladies and moms who think life is over after marriage n kids,to change their mind set coz it's not over ever.. Your second innings can be more rewarding than your first one. It's never too late to realise your dreams, n what better example than our honorable PM Modi ji, he started from a humble beginning and in this age also, he is doing wonders. So, one can achieve anything and everything, provided one has the will and does the required hardwork. I'm not perfect nor an expert, still from my experiences in life, I have learnt one thing that one should try different things without fear coz one day you will get to know your strength and then things will just flow smoothly. As for me, I tried banking job, teaching job, being a housemaker, taking classes for kids, promoting and distributing wellness products, n what not, until I realised my passion is writing as communication is my strength, be it public speaking or writing. So now, I'm diving into what I'm afraid of, which is going beyond my comfort zone n meeting new people and discovering new ways of promoting n exhibiting my talent in writing and speaking. I recently realised my dream of getting my books published ('Living life on my own terms', 'Secrets of life hacking'). Another dream is to become life coach or motivational speaker one day, coz I believe one should contribute to the society much more than you take from it. Let's see what happens. Anyways, another thing in my bucket list was to have my website one day, which is realised today. Thankgod. So, from here on, my mission is to share my views, encourage people and contribute productively to the society at large. Let's hope for the best .. But one thing is for sure, I won't stop trying and never give up. I would continue helping n motivating others coz it's my God-given talent n I look forward to pursue my passion n help others to find n pursue their passion too. In my coming posts, I will discuss about my childhood, teenage years, school n college life, corporate life, marriage, motherhood, kids, education system, politics, health care, pros n cons of living in India n abroad, healthy eating n nutrition, exercise, etc. Let me know if you all r looking for a specific topic for me to discuss. Let's help, support n motivate each other. Until my next post, take one day at a time and be your own sunshine.. Cheers!! :)
