Sonal Chhibber...'An Author to reckon'

1. Tell us about yourself?
A- Hi, I'm an Indian expat living in Dubai for past 12 yrs. I'm a mother of 3 lovely kids. I live life on my own terms. I believe in live & let live. Writing is my passion. I'm an Author, Blogger, Writer, Editor, Poet, Model, Freelancer and Mompreneur. I write on various topics such as Expat Life, Motherhood, Parenting, Kids, Travel, books, Lifestyle, Wellness, etc. I like to share my thoughts and experiences and help people.
2. How did you get interested in literature?
A-I used to love reading books and used to write poems and articles when I was in school, and used to feel good when my inputs were published in school magazine. Then in college, English and Political Science were my favorite subjects. I used to be Chief Editor in my college (St. Xaviers, Mumbai) and was responsible for bringing out Political science journal named 'Politique'. Writing is something which comes to me naturally and I love to write as it's my inborn talent & passion.
3.What inspired you to write?
A- Initially, I used to write about Politics but gradually started writing about life and women, as feel women are backbone of the family and society at large, and so need to uplift and encourage them.
4.What are the difficulties that you face while while writing?
A- I'm not much used to using social media platforms to promote my work, so feel bit stuck at times. Also, to get good publishers and paid assignments is bit of a challenge, still I'm trying to learn and produce good content each day, so that my followers grow organically and I get good assignments.
5.What is your view about the current situation of literary writing?
A- Its very good right now, as we have lot of untapped talent and people are exploring and experimenting in their write ups. Plus, due to online media, it's become easy to get featured and get your content published without any hassles.
6.What was your first literary work and how was it published?
A- My first work was 'Politique' journal containing my articles, poems and quotes about political situation in India.
7. What was your favourite literary work?
A- My fav article was 'My Visit to Prague-City of Hundred Spires', which was published in various websites and magazines in India and abroad and got me lot of recognition and respect.
8. Any advice you want to give to the new writers?
A-Just be original and write about what you are passionate about.
9. How was your experience while writing your first work?
A-It was a very gratifying experience, which cannot be explained in words. It was as beautiful as giving birth to my baby.
10.Would you like to say something about INFINITIWRITERS?
A-It's a great platform to promote your work and get the due recognition and acknowledgement for your talent and content.
